What types of coins are auctioned?
Provincial coins: Regional coins from the Republic of the Seven United Netherlands (1588-1795) and the Southern Netherlands (1581-1795). Provinces minted their own coins with unique designs that reflected their economic independence and regional identity.
Kingdom coins: Coins minted since the establishment of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (1815). In addition to their economic value, these coins represent national identity. They include common currencies such as guilders, but also commemorative coins.
World coins: Coins from all corners of the globe, with an emphasis on Belgium, France, Germany, and Luxembourg. World coins tell unique stories about the culture, politics, and economy of different civilizations.
Medals: Commemorative or honorary objects with rich symbolism, in honor of anniversaries, personal achievements, and historical figures or events. They are sought-after collectibles with no nominal value, but with great cultural and historical significance.
How does our coin auction work?
At our coin auction, you have the opportunity to purchase unique and valuable coins at attractive prices. Each coin is carefully checked for authenticity and quality beforehand. Our experts assess the value based on the metal, weight, condition, and rarity of the coin.
The coin is then offered online. Bidding is easy via our auction system. You set your maximum bid and follow the auction live. The highest bidder wins.
